This is probably my favorite time of year here. We have so many Strawberry patches around us it's fun to take a sampling of them all. We have gone and picked our own strawberries every year since we have lived here at least 2 or 3 times in the month of May. Unfortunately, since we will be moving in 2 months I can't stock my freezer full of jam for the next year so I had to be a little conservative and only pick 2 buckets full today. It was fun to see Evie get in on the action since last year she was being carried in a Baby Bjorn. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time helping us moms fill our buckets. I will miss this yearly ritual as well as the jam that it yields. I may make another trip in the next 2 weeks for more, I cannot resist fresh berries and for $1.25/lb, why should I?
Yeah, I can finally put Evie's hair in a little spout ponytail and she actually left it in all day. It was worth the fight she put up while trying to style it. After I had Evie dressed and ready Owen said she looked just like Kate (our neice in Utah) who frequently dons the same do!

Yummy. Strawberries are Gabby's favorite. Too bad they can't grow them here in El Paso! Looks like Evie is holding her own, walking and all. I think Gabby is far from having a ponytail. Evie sports the ponytail very nicely! Albert says hi.
How fun! I miss the nice weather...it's raining here..and cold. Evie is adorable!
Leah, I haven't talked to you in so long, and we seriously missed out on strawberry picking! We were going to come down, too, but gas has been so outragious I just couldn't bring myself to fill up my tank again twice in the same week! It's terrible. Anyway. Love the pictures, and love your new pictures of the two together! I'm attempting that in a few weeks when I visit my family. I figure I might as well have my mom's moral support trying to get pictures with a 3 yr. old and a newborn, haha! We will be coming down soon for joyschool, we actually started a group up here, but I'm still going to come see you guys too!
