A Day at the Fair

Yesterday, we took the kids to the Fair on post. Owen was so excited to be there, I think he rode on almost every ride he was able to. We even took Evie on the ferris wheel with us. Owen was such a brave little guy and surprised us by wanting to go on the zip line they had set up for kids. They had this area called the Kiddie Jump Tower where they hooked the kids up in their harnesses to a zip line that started about 20 feet off the ground. He looked so cute in his "gear" and it was fun watching him zip all the way down. At the bottom he was given his very own airborne wings (just like Dad). He loved the tall slippery slide and went on that all by himself a couple of times. It was fun to hear his contagious laugh all the way down. He is getting to be such a big boy! One funny attraction they had there was a family of Daredevils (mom, dad & 7 or 8 yr old son). They did a bunch of tricks on motorcycles that the kids had fun watching. Rand and I joked about leaving dentistry behind and going on the road with our own little act, can you imagine, what a life:) Of course, Owen was not happy when it was time to leave, what a fun evening. Here are a few pictures we took:
(Sorry the zip line picture is hard to see, Owen is at the bottom- if you click on the picture it should fill your screen to see it better)

That looked like so much fun. I can almost hear Owen's adorable laugh just thinking about it. I think Ethan is going to be our daredevil too. Sorry to hear that Evie was jealous of Ethan and Emma. Just tell her that he has not settled down yet so she has nothing to worry about. She just needs to set up her game next time we come to visit. She was playing hard to get last time :) I hope things are going well with selling the house and getting ready to move. Hopefully we will get to see you guys again before you leave. ~Meredith

Looks like Owen had a blast. I think as a mom, I would have been nervous for him! Sounds like he's a boy with no fear! Glad to see you're having some fun now that you're finally seeing light at the end of the long endo tunnel! We miss hanging out with you guys.
