Hallelujah!

I hope we're not jinxing ourselves by sharing this news but we have a buyer for our home. We are having the contract drawn up on Wednesday. We feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of our shoulders and are grateful that we won't have to worry about our house when we leave for Germany in July. We will definitely miss living here though. It is the first house we have owned and have definitely felt like it was truely home for us. We're not quite as excited to move into government housing but cannot wait for the opportunity we'll have to travel around Europe for the next 3 years. We hope to have a guest room waiting for anyone willing to make the trip to visit us (we hope we'll have lots of takers!)

Movers will be coming in a few weeks to collect most of our belongings except for a few things that we can keep with us until the end of June, then the kids and I will head up to MD to say our goodbyes to family and friends before we leave for our adventure on July 4th. Anyway, we thought we'd fill you in as we've had lots of people asking about the status of our home.

Congratulations on selling the home. Perfect timing, too! We hope we can visit you guys in Germany. You'll enjoy your stay there. We'll be going to Germany next week, in fact, for my sister's wedding. We're looking forward to it! Enjoy the rest of your time in NC.

What a blessing and how exciting to be almost on your way. You'll love Germany. I went to HS there. If you can stand the WA wheather, you'll do great in Germany!

wow that is good news. it is a huge stress relief when moving and you find out that you don't have to worry about leaving behind a house. we got lucky in maryland and we are hoping for the same here in texas.

That is so great that you have a buyer for the house. Maybe that gives us hope for selling our house. Keep your fingers crossed. I might be down to Sanford in the next couple of weeks but I'm not sure. If not, enjoy Germany and keep us posted on how things are going. ~Meredith
