I should have my own Mastercard commercial

For those of you unaware, our move to Germany is creeping up fast. We are now on day 9 still living in our house without most of our stuff. Our household goods were packed and crated (to be shipped overseas) on June 5th. The good news is that they should arrive in Germany before we do. The bad news is that I have the chore of trying to occupy two toddlers in an empty house with a very minimal amount of toys and 100 degree temperatures outside (not to mention the ridiculous humidity we have here in the south). Oh yeah, and did I mention that we shipped Rand's car last week too? So he has been driving my car into work each day. Needless to say I haven't been doing a very good job playing the "cheerful, supportive wife" role lately, even though Rand is really good at reminding me that we chose this. It's been more like "on-the-verge-of-being-committed" wife, which I could probably recieve an Academy Award for my performance. Anyway, after a mini-nervous breakdown the other night, Rand decided that it would be in the best interest of his daily happiness to rent a car for the next week (fortunately the last one before I go up to MD to visit my family). Those of you that know my very thrifty husband know how big a deal this is.

Oh, I feel your pain. I bet you are really looking forward to things settling down. I am glad you were able to find some sanity in an otherwise chaotic situation.

Moving is always a pain and not fun for kids, but hang in there and keep us posted on Germany!

I still have nightmares about our move with a 3 month old. It took us 3 days to drive to Texas. Have fun on your stateside adventures and good luck during your trek overseas. It might take a little while to get settled in, but then once you do, Hello Europe, let the travels begin! We're looking forward to the update when you get a chance to revisit the blog. Hugs to Evie and Owen from the Koagels!
