Evie started taking ballet last spring with Mrs. Deschanes (Owen's Kindergarten assistant teacher). I was surprised how quickly she remembered the positions and steps she was learning. It's pretty cute to hear her say "retire, " "tendu," and "chasse." Grandma Russell would be proud (Rand's mom is a ballet teacher). Unfortunately, her teacher moved back to the states in the fall (one down-side to the military) and they have not found a replacement so lessons are on hold for her until we move back this summer.
It was really fun to see her perform for the first time and she did a pretty good job of actually dancing through most of the song. I started taking dance when I was four so there's definitely part of me that hopes she loves it as much as I did growing up. Here are some pictures of her from her recital.

Yes she is...a pretty ballerina, that is. She looks so happy to be in her recital dress and all. Thanks for sharing such cute and fun photos. I hope you are feeling well and holding the fort until Rand gets back. I can't believe Baby #3 will be here soon! I can't wait to see pictures of her. I'm sure she will be as beautiful as Owen and Evie!
Too bad she can't take lessons with Mrs. Peggy! Love her costume she looks beautiful and tell her I said so.
