"Springtime for Hitler and Germany"

Sorry if the title to this post is confusing but I couldn't resist using the name of a song from the Broadway show "The Producers." Don't be fooled by these pictures though, we have only been given a couple of lovely spring days so far- the rest of the time it has been raining, windy and only in the 40s and 50s. But the few days we have been given we have taken full advantage of them. We took a long walk a couple of weeks ago and I brought my camera along to document the beautiful surroundings we do have here. The gorgeous yellow flowers you see in the fields is a crop called rapeseed (they derive a kind of oil from it) and it grows everywhere and is beautiful. I'll let the pictures tell the rest.
The view behind our house.
A boy and his dog:-)

The wheat fields are getting high enough that Pongo gets lost in them. He looks like a rabbit trying to hop through them.
Beautiful rapeseed

Are you supposed to make a wish when you blow dandelions because this one is definitely coming true?
Now it's Evie's turn. You can also see her bouquet of "used" flowers that she wouldn't let go.
There were many slugs (possibly hundreds) to be found.
... and snails,
... and ladybugs. Owen's teacher calls him Father Nature because he is always finding bugs and creatures to pick-up, who could tell this kid used to be deathly afraid of bugs.
This is a little chapel at the bottom of our hill that always has a vigil burning. You can find these all over Germany on the sides of roads and in little towns.
The hill looking up toward our neighborhood (covered with wheat fields right now).
Dear Mr. Sun,
Do you think you could come out and play with us again?

I love it! Thanks for posting all these fun pictures. It's all so familiar, but so far away now :-(. Hope you are doing well. Evie's hair looks cute.

I love the title of your post. Every once in a while Hyrum will start belting out that very line while we are driving in the forests of Germany...too funny

Rachelle, I'm so glad someone gets my goofy humor- now I know why we're such good friends. Picturing Hyrum singing it is even better;-)
