Apparently this was not good enough.

This is what Evie pushed around for the whole day and obviously had much more fun. Which once again makes me reiterate what I said in an earlier post "Why do we buy toys again?"

One more picture I had to share: Owen's family portrait in sidewalk chalk that he drew on the back patio this afternoon. I especially love the arms that come directly out of the head. He told me who each person was as he drew them. He just kept drawing a long line of people and even remembered to include Buddy (Rand's brother's dog). This is definitely one for the scrapbook!
From left to right: Mom, Evie, Micah, (in blue), Owen & Papa (sorry Daddy you were further down the line and didn't fit into the picture).

Yeah, why is it we buy toys. It's a scam. :)
Very cute!
We'll have to show Gabby the office chair. Maybe she'll learn to walk sooner. Loved the photos. Loved Owen's artwork. Let him know Albert says hello!
I love it! Isn't that the truth with toys?! Evie is getting so big! I was thinking about it, and I think it's been since christmas since we've seen you guys! Wow...we need to get together soon. We need to have everyone up for a Bar-B-Q. I had fun catching up on your blog! Too cute.
The pictures that Owen drew are classic. The cool part is that we are learning about neurology and how the brain developes and the pictures without the body and everything coming out of the head is one of the things that was mentioned. It is kind of cool to see the things that you learn in action (or maybe I am just a big nerd)
Buddy will definitely be over joyed that you remembered him... thanks owen!!!
I love that Owen doesn't leave anyone out, Buddy must be one special dog. I'm so with you about buying toys. Kate would much rather walk around with a spoon and bowl then play with any of her toys.
Hey Leah, just came across your blog. Your kids are so cute. I remember when you were leaving Maryland for WA and now you guys are in NC. Crazy how time flies. Chris goes to Ft. Bragg a lot. He is actually deployed right now with a unit from there. We are in Texas right now, but the next time he is there he will have to try and get together with Rand. Glad to see an update on you guys.
