We went to Utah to visit Rand's family and had a great time with his parents, siblings (the ones that live there anyway) and neices & nephews. Rand's mom always spoils us with the best meals and it was great to have Rand without any distractions/studying for 2 whole weeks. Utah got lots of snow this year so Owen was able to get in lots of sledding time. We even went tubing with the whole family which was so fun. We loved staying up late every night playing games and watching movies after the kids were all in bed. Thanks Keith & Marsha for the great vacation!

Evie's birthday was this past Sunday, so we partied it up with some friends and our neighbors.
I always love first birthdays because it's hilarious to watch them figure out how to eat their first piece of cake (or cupcake). Evie was much more interested in the ice cream though. She wouldn't let Rand stop feeding it to her. Of course, the older kids were more than helpful opening Evie's presents for her. Fortunately, she was content just playing with the paper & ribbon. Why do we spend money on gifts again?
It's hard to believe that our little girl has turned a year old. Time really does go by too quickly. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures.

You're right, it's hard to believe it's already one year for Evie! I can remember visiting her in the hospital when she was just a couple of days old. Crazy how fast time flies. Looks like you had a fun time tubing, too. Owen is such a big boy now. We miss having you guys so close. Good thing we have the internet to send photos! Keep them coming!
Ya'll are too cute. Hey, Leah...how are ya'll. I've been wondering where and how you are doing. Tell Mr. Rand I said hello. And I'm dang excited for ya'll to head to Germany! That way I know someone there to send us some gummies! LOL! We miss ya'll. Life looks like it's grand for you. Hope so! love ya

I LOVE the pictures of Evie, and I bet you can't believe she's a year old! I miss you guys, we're going to try and come down to joyschool this week. I was so sad to miss last Friday, these last few weeks have been nuts. Sounds like you had a blast in Utah over Christmas, isn't the snow just beautiful?! You made me miss Utah!
